Extended Deadline: Postdoctoral Researcher Positions at DELTA-HUB

We are pleased to announce that the application deadline for our two Postdoctoral Researcher positions has been extended to 15 March 2026.

If you missed the original deadline or are still preparing your application, this is your chance to join the DELTA-HUB team at the University of Bucharest and conduct high-impact research in the Danube Delta.

The Positions

We are looking for motivated researchers for two distinct profiles:

Position 1: SWOT Data & Global Delta Analysis

Focus on developing new data products from SWOT and NISAR satellite missions, conducting global-scale analysis of delta dynamics, and studying water connectivity and sediment interactions.

Position 2: Field Data Analysis & Model Calibration

Bridge observations with numerical modelling by processing data from hydrodynamic and sediment sensors, developing calibration relationships, and validating models (Delft3D, MIKE21).

What We Offer

Contract: 2-year contract starting Spring-Summer 2026
Salary: Competitive remuneration of €4,000/month (gross)
Environment: A hands-on research environment combining satellite remote sensing, in-situ measurements, and numerical modelling, with direct access to the Danube Delta
Support: Funding for fieldwork campaigns, international conference travel, and training opportunities
